My Roles

Because of the nature of team structure, taking on multiple roles was a necessity. As such, I built levels, wrote the narrative, created the initial design framework, and assisted in scripting.

Vision

The goal was to create a game around the idea of "masks." This manifested as a walking-simulator in the likes of What Remains of Edith Finch, with narrative prose appearing within the game world and activatable by triggers.

Lessons Learned

One of the most important lessons I took away from this game and the 2026 Global Game Jam is the importance of perspective, particularly in keeping it. Over the course of the jam, my expectations and vision for the end project were constantly shifting with the rapidly dwindling time constraint.

But it was the remembering that this game is merely a step forward, not a magnum opus, which carried me and my team through to the end with our heads held high and another jam completed.
