JONAS LIEW
Hello there!
My name is Jonas (like the song by Weezer) and my passion lies in and storytelling. I'm a firm believer in not only advocating for new and unheard voices, but also in the rapid change and iteration storytelling is capable of across all mediums.

As a storyteller, I am intrigued by, and voracious for, new and innovative ways to tell stories. Whether they be iterating on traditional prose, or utilizing interactive media, I believe unique stories can be told through different lenses and perspectives.
As a writer, my expertise and practice lies in fiction and prose, whether they be as long as a novel manuscript, or as short as a line of dialogue. This love of writing also translates into editing, as I have edited for various short stories in several anthologies, performing bespoke substantive worldbuilding edits, precise copy editing, and general proof reading.

As a game designer, my abilities are most practiced in narrative design and narrative direction. However, I am still capable when it comes to designing game mechanics, characters (friendly and unfriendly), and gameplay loops. All design decisions are made with the game's narrative constraints in mind, as it is my opinion that a strong narrative identity must be represented in the design of all aspects of the game.

Being able to communicate how narrative affects or is affected across disciplines has been a vital part of my game design journey, and a facet which I continue to exercise as I write and design.
